Back from a sick trip to Corsica and ending with the Dutch Team Trials for the worlds 2009  on the border of Germany and Switzerland. The wave was created due to construction work at the other side of the river and is a small green extremely technical wave. The selections were initially situated at the Kuchl wave in Austria but the water was way to high and so they moved it.

Driving from Corsica we drove to Kuchl not knowing  the selections had moved and so we drove around 1300Km extra, sweet..! We went to a sauna complex which was just great after our 1o days of paddling in Corsica, floating around in a salted pool and letting those muscles relax.

Although there were not a lot of competitors it was quite exciting with the top 6 paddlers being close together. I had some very shitty runs and only just made the team with a 4th place. For the mens and womens category one place will be given through the Eurocup to make it a full team. Here is the Dutch team so far:

Mens
Casper van Kalmthout
Remi Wegman
Remko Brouwer
Raoul Collenteur

Women
Martina Wegman

Junior men
Tom van Kalmthout
Gillian Walchenbach

Cheers & some pics!  (Soon a article from Corsica online!)
