Finally the first message from Canada here. Been here for little more then two weeks now and it has been quite a busy time. Flight went well and we were easily picked up by my friend Phil Quinn. Stayed at his place the first week, paddling Corner wave, left side and baby face.

So it took us about a week to get a car, to young, liability, creditcard, etcetera etc. gave us a hard time. But now we have this pimp red huyundai Accent and with our inflateable roofrack it all works fine. Check this picture:

It rained here a lot in the Ottawa valley which made us decide to go touristy and head for Niagara Falls and Toronto. It was nice to see some sun, and not to forget this incredible tourist attractions. The drive there was about 600 k’s but worth it. Just see these pics.

Toronto was fun, but when we heard that High Tension was running on the Gatineau river the game was on. After a little stopover in a provincial park (yes, got up at 5 and saw just 1 (!!!!!) deer) we picked up the boats in Beachburg and headed for the Gatineau. The days here were long, totally worth it and simply just amazing! This wave is world class and we tried and stuck some new or just massive moves. Unlucky not too much shots but here’s some.

So that’s it. Now were off to rest a couple off days and then go to run the petawawa and madawaska rivers and see something else then the ottawa.

Ciao, Raoul and Roy
