Worlds has really started yesterday with an amazing opening ceremony. While everybody is used to some quite boring opening ceremonies this was not boring at all. Simon Hirter (event organiser) did a great job here! After some very well dancing acts Rush Sturges blow the public away with some well done rap, Worlds 2009 kayak championships has officially started!

Today I have the prelims, hope my runs are good enough to make the top 30 there. I have not yet seen the wave but I’m sure it’s good. Now I’m off to watch some dutchies in the prelims and give them some support!
