Yesterday I took out my kayak, wiped off the snow and drove to Germany. first 45 minutes the roads were covered with snow and driving went slow but the further we got easier it got. Never been to Listrup I did not know what to expect, but it exceeded all my expectations. Thinking about it now it’s a sick wave so close to the Netherlands, just over 2,5 hours!

The wave in Listrup is super dependent on waterflow and primarily runs in the winter when flows are high and temperatures low. This time it wasn’t different but minus 2 degrees and snow did not keep us from paddling. I counted many brain freezes but it was well worth it. Joery made some nice pictures, shown below. We also shot some video which I’ll post later…
